Nano Organic Montmorillonite (OMMT), Synergistic Toughening Agent - K100


I. Product Introduction

K100 is modified into OMMT by using a special intercalation agent, and the interval between layers can reach 3.0nm.

K100 and other materials for melting intercalation in a certain proportion, the monomer is inserted between the lamellae of K100, so that the layer spacing between the lamellae of K100 is expanded, completely dissociated into separate lamellae, and uniformly dispersed in the matrix of the material. Thus, the material has excellent barrier property and toughness, and can improve the dripping phenomenon of the material during combustion. The vertical combustion grade can reach UL94-V0 (T2.0mm).

III. Product Features

1. In the process of polymer combustion, a dense barrier carbon layer is formed on the

surface of K100, which plays a good role in heat insulation and isolation.

2. It can improve the tensile strength, bending strength, modulus and other mechanical

properties of the polymer.

3. It can increase the thermal deformation temperature of polymer and improve the dripping

resistance of polymer.


IV. Package Storage and Transportation
1. Packed in plastic paper bag, 25kg/bag.
2. Storage in cool dry place.

3. Transported as non-dangerous chemical goods.


V. Application

Suitable for all kinds of products of PP, PE, PS, EPDM and EVA, etc, which require flame retardant treatment.
