Melamine Pyrophosphate, MPP

I. Product Introduction

Melamine Pyrophosphate, abbreviated as MPP, is an intumescent flame retardant product that is widely used in engineering plastics, such as flame retardant nylon and other materials. The material is synthesized from phosphoric acid and melamine through condensation reaction and prepared with ammonium dihydrogen phosphate as carrier, the main components are two elements, phosphoric acid and melamine.

MPP is an efficient, environmentally friendly, non-toxic and harmless flame retardant, which is widely used in the flame retardant treatment of plastics, rubber, fibers and other polymer materials.

III. Product Features

1. Efficient flame retardant: melamine pyrophosphate MPP has excellent flame retardant properties, which can effectively improve the flame retardant grade of materials and reduce the risk of fire.

2. Environmentally friendly and non-toxic: The product meets the requirements of environmental protection, does not produce toxic and harmful substances during the production process, and will not cause pollution to the environment after use.

3. Good compatibility: Melamine pyrophosphate MPP is compatible with a variety of polymer materials and will not adversely affect the performance of materials.

4. Affordable price: The product has low production cost and affordable price, which can meet the needs of different customers.

IV. Product Advantages

1. Non-toxic and harmless: melamine pyrophosphate MPP does not contain any toxic and harmful substances, and can be safely used in food, medical devices and other high-end fields.

2. Good thermal stability: the product has good thermal stability and can maintain stable performance under high temperature conditions.

3. Strong UV resistance: melamine pyrophosphate MPP has strong UV resistance, which can effectively prevent material aging.

4. Easy to process: the product has good fluidity, easy to mix with the material evenly and improve the production efficiency.

V. Method of Use

1. According to the requirements of the desired flame retardant grade, add melamine pyrophosphate MPP into the polymer material to be treated with flame retardant in proportion.

2. Adjust the dosage of melamine pyrophosphate MPP according to the nature of the material and processing requirements, so that it can be mixed with the material evenly.

3. Conduct conventional processing operations, such as injection molding, calendering, spraying, etc., to make the treated material into the required products.

Caution:

1. When using melamine pyrophosphate MPP, avoid staying under high temperature for a long time so as not to affect the performance of the product.

2. The product should not be used with acidic substances or reducing gases at the same time, so as to avoid chemical reaction to reduce the performance of the product.

3. During transportation and storage, direct sunlight and high temperature environment should be avoided so as not to affect product quality.

4. If you need to use this product for flame retardant treatment, it is recommended to conduct a small sample test to determine the best dosage and treatment process.

5. In the process of using, should wear protective equipment, avoid direct contact with skin and eyes, if inadvertent contact, please flush with water immediately.

MPP Application

VI. Application

MPP can be used as a flame retardant for a wide range of materials such as plastic plastics, polyolefins, synthetic rubbers, engineering resins, fireproof coatings, paper and fireproof boards. Due to its superior flame retardant effect, it can partially replace ammonium polyphosphate (APP).

MPP can be used alone in glass fiber reinforced flame retardant PA66/6, glass fiber reinforced flame retardant PP, and can also be applied together with pentaerythritol in the flame retardant modification of polyolefin, glass fiber reinforced flame retardant PA6/PA66, SMC.

In addition, melamine polyphosphate (MPP) can be specifically used in the following areas.

1. It can be used as both catalyst and foaming agent in fireproof coatings, and its performance is slightly better than ordinary ammonium polyphosphate (APP);

2. In ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers, such as with cyclic urea formaldehyde (coking agent) in polyolefins can demonstrate a highly effective expansion effect;

3. Combined with pentaerythritol phosphate in thermoplastic polyester, it is an effective flame retardant;

4. Suitable as a flame retardant for polystyrene, replacing polybrominated diphenyl ethers;

5. Suitable for rubber (butylbenzene, nitrile, polypropylene elastic) flame retardant;

6. Suitable for use as a flame retardant for nylon 6/66, epoxy resin, and rigid polyurethane foam. Flame retardant for polysiloxane molding body together with porous graphite.

VII. Package Storage & Transportation
1. Packed in paper and plastic bags, 25kg/bag.
2. Storage in cool dry place.

3. Transported as non-dangerous chemical goods.
