Piperazine Pyrophosphate Intumescent Flame Retardant for PP PPAP-15 in Fire Safety Applications


I. Product Introduction

Piperazine pyrophosphate-based intumescent flame retardant (IFR) is a new type of IFR, compared with ammonium polyphosphate (APP)-based IFR, it has better flame retardancy, thermal stability and water precipitation resistance, and a wider range of applications, and it is a halogen-free flame retardant with great development potential.

Piperazine pyrophosphate is an intumescent flame retardant, which can be used as an additive flame retardant in polymer materials such as EPDM (ethylene propylene diene trioxide rubber) and PP (polypropylene). This product is mainly used as a carbon source for non-halogenated intumescent flame retardants. It has excellent temperature resistance and can be compounded with other phosphorus flame retardants for flame retardant modification of polyolefin materials.

III. Advantages

1. Highly efficient flame retardant: PPAP-15, as a new type of intumescent flame retardant, has highly efficient flame retardant properties. Compared with ammonium polyphosphate (APP) based IFR, it has better flame retardant effect.

2. Good thermal stability: PPAP-15 has excellent thermal stability and can withstand high processing temperatures and strong shear processing conditions.

3. Excellent anti-separation performance: PPAP-15 has a special purification process and surface treatment process, the powder is hydrophobic and lipophilic, no water-slip phenomenon in the extrusion process, and it can stably pass all kinds of tests.

4. Low smoke and toxicity: PPAP as a non-halogenated flame retardant, the smoke and toxicity generated during combustion is low, which improves the safety performance of the products.

5. Wide range of applications: PPAP-15 is not only suitable for polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE) and other polymer materials, but also can be used for flame retardancy of other high-end polyolefin products such as thermoplastic elastomers.

1. High charcoal formation efficiency: PPAP-15 has excellent charcoal formation efficiency as a flame retardant imparting agent for synthetic resins.

2. Good thermal stability: PPAP-15 can withstand high processing temperatures and strong shear processing conditions, and is highly tolerant of processing techniques.

3. Low hygroscopicity: PPAP-15 has low hygroscopicity and is not easy to be damp when used.

4. Halogen-free flame retardant: As a halogen-free flame retardant, PPAP-15 is characterized by high efficiency, environmental protection, low smoke and low toxicity.

5. Good processing performance: PPAP-15 can be easily mixed with resin to form uniform flame retardant masterbatch with good processing performance.


V. Applications

Flame retardant for plastics: PPAP-15 is mainly used for flame retardant modification of polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyurethane (PU), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), epoxy resin (EP) and other plastics.

Thermoplastic elastomer flame retardant: PPAP-15 can also be used for flame retardant of other high-end polyolefin products such as thermoplastic elastomer.

Other applications: PPAP-15 can also be used for flame retardancy in cables, electronic appliances, automobile interior parts and other fields.
